The Process:
Site Clearance and Preparation:
The first step involved clearing the existing garden area, including the removal of uneven turf and old paving slabs. This created a blank canvas for the new patio, path, and shed base installation. The ground was excavated to the correct depth, ensuring the base for the patio and shed would be stable and level.
Excavation and Groundwork:
For the patio and path areas, the ground was leveled, and a sub-base was laid using compacted hardcore. This provided a solid foundation to support the weight of the Indian sandstone and prevent future shifting or sinking.
